The Ministry of Defense of Kyrgyzstan has canceled the “Inviolable Brotherhood-2022” military exercises of the Collective Security Treaty Organization in the territory of that country.
The exercises were planned to be held on October 10-14 in the territory of the “Edelweiss” military base. The reasons for the cancellation are not specified.
To the exercises were supposed to participate Peacekeeping personnel of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan.
Observers from Uzbekistan, Serbia, Syria, Turkmenistan and Mongolia were also invited. According to Kyrgyz sources, more than 6.5 thousand people should have been included in the military exercise, more than 850 units of military and special equipment, including airplanes, helicopters and ATS, should have been used.
The Collective Security Treaty Organization has been conducting the “Inviolable Brotherhood” exercises since 2012.
