All the participants of the regional consultative platform on South Caucasus “3+3” (Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia-Russia, Turkey, Iran) expressed interest in Georgia’s participation. The door for Tbilisi’s participation to the format always remains open, Maria Zakharova, the Official Representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated during the weekly briefing,
“Regarding the issue and controversy of Georgia's participation, on the first meeting of the platform on December 10, as you know, all the countries including Russia unanimously expressed interest in Tbilisi’s participation in the format, agreed that the door for Georgia’s participation is always open”, Zakharova mentioned.
“Regarding the holding of the next meeting in Ankara, the agreement on the venue and content of the next meeting is held by the foreign ministries on the basis of the consensus of all participants”, the Russian diplomat made clear.
