As part of the annual conference of Armenia’s ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions abroad, a two-day series of discussions was held on the economic component of the Government’s 2026-2031 program, economic development priorities and prospects, and the promotion of international trade ties.
The Foreign Ministry said in a press release that at the beginning of the series of presentations, Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan delivered welcoming remarks, emphasizing the importance of continuously developing capacities in this direction and consistently promoting Armenia’s economic interests through diplomatic missions, in the context of expanding the functions of the ministry and institutionalizing the foreign trade component.
Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan delivered a presentation, outlining the current indicators of Armenia’s economic development and the results expected under the Government’s new program, as well as the main directions of Armenia’s economic development.
In the context of diversifying economic relations, the dynamics of developing partnerships in new directions, the results achieved, and the importance of consistently promoting business ties were discussed.
Armenia’s annual ambassadorial assembly started last week in Gyumri. President Vahagn Khachaturyan and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan delivered opening remarks on the first day.
