Within the framework of the annual gathering held in Gyumri, on August 30, issues related to the organization of the diplomatic service of the Republic of Armenia, including legal, financial and administrative matters,
were discussed.
Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Davit Karapetyan presented a report on the work carried out since the previous Ambassadors’ gathering in 2025, as well as the priorities and tasks ahead.
The discussions also covered in detail the ongoing efforts to enhance consular services through digitalization, including the use of innovative solutions, as well as staffing and human resources issues within the diplomatic service.
Public communication by diplomatic service bodies was also discussed, with a focus on continuously enhancing communication in line with the changing environment and increasing Armenia’s visibility.
Minister Mirzoyan touched upon the reforms implemented and planned with a view to modernizing and improving the diplomatic service and also answered questions from the participants.
At the conclusion of the discussions of the gathering, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan awarded MFA colleagues and heads of Armenia’s diplomatic missions who provided on-site assistance to citizens of the Republic of Armenia and were actively involved in their transfer to Armenia amid the escalation of the crisis in the Middle East in February and March.
