Rosselkhoznadzor appealed to the Iranian Plant Protection Organization with a request to stop certifying flowers for export to Russia.
“The phytosanitary certificates indicate Iran as the place of origin of the product. Moreover, the external characteristics of the product and the features of its packaging are identical to those previously imported from Armenia. Rosselkhoznadzor had earlier informed Iran about the temporary restrictions on Armenian flower products,” the agency said in a statement.
The import of flowers from Armenia to Russia has been banned since May 22, 2026.
