Armenia's Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan lauded his administration’s and party’s track record since the 2021 parliamentary election victory, which gave it a majority and the mandate to govern the country.
Pashinyan cited the fulfilled economic growth pledge.
“We have reasonably confident forecasts regarding the execution of tax revenues in the 2025 budget. We are confident that the tax revenues of the 2025 state budget will exceed the tax revenues of the 2017 state budget by 1 trillion 542 billion drams, or 133 percent. In other words, the additional revenue in this year’s budget, compared to 2017, is greater than the total budget of 2017,” Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said in parliament during debates of the 2026 state budget bill.
Pashinyan reminded that during the 2021 parliamentary elections, Civil Contract party promised to ensure an average annual economic growth of 7 percent.
“This promise has been fully fulfilled, because we are confident that over the five years, we will achieve at least 7.5–7.6 percent economic growth, with realistic prospects for even higher average growth. Between 2021 and 2024, GDP has already increased by 36.6 percent. This is a very good indicator,” the Prime Minister said.
Pashinyan concluded by saying that Armenia is now on a "trajectory of development."
