US President Donald Trump believes that making a deal with Iran has been complicated by the weakening of the country's military potential and the assassination of most of its leadership.
"The Navy is gone, the Air Force is gone, the leadership is gone, a lot of the leaders are gone. It's not easy to make a deal. Nobody knows who their leader is," Trump said.
The American leader once again emphasized that the main goal of the conflict with Iran is to prevent Tehran from obtaining nuclear weapons.
According to him, Tehran was only a few weeks away from creating a nuclear bomb when it ordered strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities in 2025.
Trump added that if it were not for US intervention, Iran would "wipe Israel off the face of the earth" and the entire Middle East.
"They are crazy. They would use nuclear weapons without hesitation," he concluded.
