By the end of the year, TRIPP’s legal or statutory issues will be finalized in written form; in the first half of 2026 all decisions arising from that—regarding the establishment of the joint enterprise, the construction right, and the decisions assumed for the government and other institutions—will be adopted, and in the second half of 2026 the actual construction work will begin. Where should it start? Whichever is ready earlier. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this during a conference on regional cooperation, presenting the timeline for the implementation of the TRIPP project.
“I also do not want to hide that in Copenhagen, together with the President of Azerbaijan, we discussed this issue as well, and it seems we reached an understanding that perhaps the fastest to implement would be the construction of power transmission lines and the gas pipeline. But this was a preliminary discussion, and it will become more specific and clearer during further discussions.
Overall, I must express my understanding that I have no doubt… nothing hinders the implementation of the project, because all problematic issues are addressed in the Washington Declaration, and all that remains for us is to implement the agreement. And no one has any motivation not to implement the agreement,” he said.
