Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced arms exports for the coming year to finance his country's defence against Russia, DPA reports.
"Thanks to this controlled export, we will increase drone production for the front," said Zelensky in his evening video message on Friday.
Domestic production of certain weapons already exceeds demand, he said.
"One example is naval drones, which the world counts on and for which we have a surplus, as well as anti-tank weapons and some other types," said Zelensky.
However, arms deliveries to the front and the replenishment of the country's own arsenals would remain the top priority.
An export concept is to be drawn up within the next two weeks.
Exports and cooperation with the United States would be the top priority, followed by European partners and other countries interested in Ukrainian weapons that have supported Kiev.
"Ukraine will not engage in 'arms charity' and help those who did not care about Ukraine," Zelensky said.
Exports are subject to "reliable checks" to ensure that "Ukrainian technologies" do not reach Russia or its allies.
Ukraine has been defending itself against a Russian invasion for more than three and a half years and has received unprecedented financial support and arms supplies from Western allies.
