On March 13, Vladimir Putin held talks with the President of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, who visited Russia on an official visit. This was his first trip abroad after being re-elected as the head of the Belarusian state.
The presidents discussed key issues of further development of bilateral relations of strategic partnership and alliance between Russia and Belarus, prospects for integration cooperation within the Union State, as well as current topics on the international agenda.
A number of joint documents were signed, following the talks.
