The Republic of Armenia has not undertaken any obligation, including on the unblocking of regional infrastructures, that it has not fulfilled, Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan said in the Parliament, responding to a question from the Civil Contract faction MP Lilit Minasyan.
“We have repeatedly said that we are ready to open or contribute to the unblocking of regional transport infrastructures as soon as possible. We have come up with a deep and very comprehensive initiative, the 'Crossroads of Peace'. Within its logic and in that context, we have also made very specific proposals to Azerbaijan.
The issue is not only with Azerbaijan. The unblocking of regional infrastructures is a much broader conversation, it includes, for example, our western neighbor, we have that conversation with Turkey regarding the Gyumri-Kars railway. As a result of this same unblocking, we ourselves aim to connect with Central Asia, with China, through the same Azerbaijani infrastructures, and we continue this conversation with all our partners," Mirzoyan stated.
