Transparency International has published the Corruption Perceptions Index 2024 report, which examines public sector corruption perceptions in 180 countries and territories worldwide.
According to the report, the three countries with the lowest perceived corruption levels are Denmark with 90 points out of 100, Finland with 88 points, and Singapore with 84 points.
Armenia ranked 63rd with 47 points. In last year’s report, Armenia had the same 47 points but ranked 62nd.
In the region, Georgia leads with 53 points, ranking 53rd. Turkey ranks 107th (34 points), Iran is 151st (23 points), while Azerbaijan and Russia share 154th place (22 points each).
The Corruption Perceptions Index reflects the assessment of experts and business representatives regarding the level of perceived corruption, based on a 100-point scale. The higher the index, the lower the perceived corruption and, accordingly, the better a country’s ranking.
