The NA delegation led by the Speaker of Parliament Alen Simonyan is on a working visit in Belgium. Within the framework of the visit, the members of the RA NA delegation, the Chair of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Sargis Khandanyan and the Committee member Hasmik Hakobyan, the Chair of the Standing Committee on European Integration Arman Yeghoyan met with the Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Belgian Chamber of Representatives of the Kingdom of Belgium, Head of the Belgium-Armenia Friendship Group Els Van Hoof and the members of the committee in a working dinner format.
At the meeting issues regarding the Armenia-EU bilateral agendas were discussed. The members of the delegation presented to their Belgian colleagues the process of negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the Crossroads of Peace project initiated by the Armenian government, the regional security and humanitarian issues.
The NA deputies highlighted the necessity for further support for democracy and democratic agenda of Armenia, included for the first time in the Coalition Agreement of the Belgian Government, and the support being provided to Armenia by the Belgian Parliament.
The NA deputies invited their Belgian counterparts to visit Armenia.
