An air incident took place in the Black Sea airspace on March 14. Russian Su-27 fighter jet shot down an American MQ-9 UAV. Commander of US Naval Forces in Europe and Africa, General James Hecker, announced that the Russian plane "intercepted and shot down the drone", as a result of which the device fell.
US President Joe Biden was informed about the incident.
