US Secretary of State Antony Blinken hopes to have new contacts with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev regarding the situation in the region. This was stated by Ned Price, official representative of the US State Department.
"As you remember, the US Secretary of State recently had talks with the leaders of the two countries, and we can expect that such an opportunity will be created again soon," he said.
The United States welcomes the cessation of hostilities between Armenia and Azerbaijan, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said in a Twitter post.
“We welcome the cessation of hostilities between Azerbaijan and Armenia and will continue to work with the parties to seek to cement it,” he said.
“The United States remains committed to promoting a peaceful and prosperous future for the South Caucasus region,” Blinken said.
