Armenia's Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan spoke by phone on Friday with President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
According to a readout from the Prime Minister’s Office, PM Pashinyan and President Berdimuhamedov discussed issues related to the further development of Armenia-Turkmenistan relations and the bilateral agenda.
The importance of expanding trade and economic ties and implementing consistent steps in that direction was emphasized.
Pashinyan referred to the 17th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17), which will be held in Armenia in October this year, and invited President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to Armenia to participate in the Leaders’ Summit to be held as part of COP17.
The President of Turkmenistan gladly accepted the invitation.
