U.S. Chargé d’Affaires David Allen and Senior Advisor for Policy and Planning at the State Department Dr. Jon Askonas, as well as the representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic and International Trade of Armenia joined by U.S. engineering firm AECOM, participated in meetings in Goris, Meghri, and Kapan to discuss the “Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity” (TRIPP).
Communities across Syunik heard directly from U.S. and Armenian officials about the implementation of TRIPP in Armenia, asked questions and shared their perspectives, and discussed how enhanced regional connectivity can create new economic opportunities for Armenia, particularly in Syunik, while supporting Armenia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Such dialogue will remain important in keeping communities informed and engaged throughout the implementation of TRIPP.
