Iran’s top negotiator and parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said Tehran gains concessions through military pressure rather than diplomacy with Washington.
In comments posted on X, Ghalibaf stated: “We take concessions not through talks, but with missiles; in negotiations, we only make them understand this.”
He emphasized that Iran does not trust guarantees or verbal commitments in any potential agreement with the United States.
“We have no trust in guarantees or words; only actions are the measure,” Ghalibaf said.
He added that Iran would not take any action before the opposing side acts first.
Ghalibaf also linked future agreements to long-term military preparedness, arguing that strategic readiness after any deal would determine the ultimate winner.
“The winner of any agreement is the one who prepares better for war from the day after,” he stated.
The remarks come amid ongoing tensions and fragile negotiations surrounding sanctions, regional security, and the Strait of Hormuz.
Markets continue monitoring geopolitical developments closely as Middle East tensions remain a major driver of oil prices and global risk sentiment.
