Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan has chaired a discussion on the citizenship concept component of the draft Migration Strategy. The scope of citizenship-related issues and the envisaged transformations were presented, along with reports on the results of conducted analyses and identified trends, the Prime Minister’s Office said in a press release.
Issues related to the legal framework, processes, and instruments were addressed. Details were provided on measures and steps aimed at the consolidation and enhancement of the institution of citizenship. Participants of the meeting exchanged views on solutions aimed at revising the institution of citizenship and put forward proposals. The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of implementing measures to improve the institution of citizenship and issued relevant instructions to those responsible.
