The Iranian organization for the management of the Persian Gulf waterways has announced a complete suspension of the movement of ships through the Strait of Hormuz.
"Due to the ongoing aggressive actions of the US armed forces in the region, the passage through the Strait of Hormuz is currently closed.
After stability and calm are established, all applications will be considered in order, and permits will be issued gradually," the statement said.
