Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan met with the President of the Chamber of Deputies, Claude Wiseler, in Luxembourg. The chair and other members of the legislature’s foreign relations committee also participated in the meeting.
According to a press release by the Foreign Ministry, the parties noted with satisfaction that, as a result of consistent joint efforts, bilateral relations have been elevated to the level of a strategic partnership. In this context, reference was made to the joint declaration signed on the same day, which outlines the priorities for cooperation and underscores the importance of interaction between the legislative bodies.
Minister Mirzoyan expressed his gratitude for the continued support provided to Armenia by the parliament of Luxembourg.
Ararat Mirzoyan and Claude Wiseler also emphasized their readiness to advance the implementation of programs that form part of the Armenia–EU strategic agenda.
Regional issues were discussed in detail during the meeting. Minister Mirzoyan presented the processes aimed at normalizing relations with neighboring countries. Views were exchanged on the opportunities created for the development of regional connectivity. Attention was also given to addressing humanitarian issues.
