Latvia is discussing the possibility of having its own nuclear weapons, announced the President of the Republic Edgars Rinkēvičs.
According to him, this requires significant resources and technologies, at the same time, more and more countries are thinking about developing such weapons today.
Rinkēvičs expressed the opinion that Latvia is still under the nuclear umbrella, since it is a member of NATO, and there are three nuclear powers in the alliance: the United States, Great Britain and France.
