Armenia’s investment and economic ratings have been growing every hour since the signing of the US-brokered joint declaration with Azerbaijan, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has said.
Speaking about the expected result from the unblocking of regional roads, Pashinyan said Armenia will have an entirely new level of economic development.
“Our country’s investment and economic ratings have been growing every day, every hour since the August 8 event,” he said, referring to the signing of the Washington accords. And I am convinced that all of you will see this in the economy. Definitely.”
Pashinyan said the record number of inbound tourists in May-June-July is also an economic effect that could be linked with the peace process. “This can be linked with a preceding event, I’d like to remind you that in March of 2025 Armenia and Azerbaijan declared that the work around the text of the peace treaty is finalized. And it is no coincidence that one month later we entered a cycle where a historically record number of tourists visited Armenia,” Pashinyan said.
Pashinyan said the growing number of inbound tourists is definitely associated with the peace process.
