Ankara has no doubt that the S-400 and F-35 issues will be resolved, said Hulusi Akar, chairman of the Turkish parliament's defense committee.
"We expect progress on this issue. We believe that it will happen. The S-400 was the reason for the suspension of the F-35 program. Once that factor is eliminated, the F-35 process will resume immediately," Akar said.
Earlier, during the NATO summit in Ankara, the US president said that the US could lift the ban on the supply of F-35 fighter jets to Turkey if the issue related to the Russian S-400s is resolved. Washington had removed Ankara from the F-35 program due to the acquisition of the S-400s.
