The Kremlin has revealed the agenda of an upcoming meeting between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Russian President Vladimir Putin expected to be held in Moscow.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said that the main topic will be Armenia’s choice between the Eurasian Economic Union and the European Union, TASS news agency reported.
Peskov said Pashinyan and Putin will have an opportunity to once again discuss the main topic comprehensively.
“And that topic, in any case, is the issue of Armenia’s development direction and orientation, as well as holding a relevant referendum in that direction,” Peskov said.
The Russian president’s press secretary also added that at the meeting between the Prime Minister of Armenia and the President of Russia in Bishkek, certain issues related to bilateral trade and economic cooperation were identified, which will be studied by the relevant agencies of the two countries.
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, on September 1, during the SCO summit.
Following the meeting, the Armenian Prime Minister positively assessed the talks, emphasizing that he and the Russian President had agreed to hold another meeting in Moscow, during which they would discuss in detail all important issues on the bilateral agenda.
