The United States has carried out new strikes on Iran. According to the U.S. Central Command, the objective is to weaken the Islamic Republic's military capabilities and prevent it from attacking vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
An industrial facility on the outskirts of the city of Khomeyn was targeted, while explosions were reported in the city of Shiraz.
Iran, in turn, launched strikes against facilities in Kuwait, Jordan, and Syria. In Bahrain, infrastructure associated with an Amazon data center was damaged. Media reports also say that Iranian forces struck two oil tankers transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
