In the event of a de facto conflict ending de jure, in the event of an institutional declaration of the end of the conflict, the embodiment of which could be the signing of a peace treaty, then we, of course, will not need an international format designed to deal with that conflict. This was stated by Armenia's Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, referring to the possible dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Group.
“The existence of the Minsk Group will not add value and may even have the opposite effect in the event of a settled conflict, in the event of a signed agreement.
That is why we are in favor of and open to the process of dissolving that format. We simply believe that we can sign these processes, documents at least on the same day. Whatever sequence you want to put them in. One is the peace treaty, the other is a joint application to the OSCE, informing about the readiness or initiative of Armenia and Azerbaijan to start the process of dissolving the group,” the Minister said.
