After the detention of Istanbul Mayor Ekrem Imamoglu, access to multiple social media platforms including X, YouTube, Instagram and TikTok has been restricted in Türkiye, NetBlocks published information about this.
Imamoglu shared a video before his detention, in which he called his persecution "an attack on the will of the people."
According to NTV, the Istanbul Chief Prosecutor's Office has indicted Imamoglu and more than 100 others on charges of corruption, bribery, and collaboration with terrorists.
