Cyprus sent 15,200 euros worth of medicines and medical materials to Armenia for treatment of those displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh

Government of Cyprus Cyprus Ministry of Foreign Affairs @MccCivil is sending humanitarian aid mission(medical and pharmaceutical materials) to Armenia through the European Civil Protection Mechanism for the needs of Nagorno-Karabakh Armenians displaced as a result of the military aggression of Azerbaijan, Ambassador of Armenia to Greece Tigran Mkrtchyan stated in his Facebook page.

"Cyprus could not stay away from the call of the European Civil Protection Mechanism to send humanitarian aid to the Armenian people after the recent dramatic events and the transfer of more than 100,000 Armenians from Nagorno-Karabakh to Armenia as a result of the actions taken by Azerbaijan.

The Republic of Cyprus, responding to the request of Armenia and after the completion of the relevant procedures for the reception of the Armenians of Artsakh by the latter, yesterday, January 16, sent medical products (medicines and medical materials) worth 15,200 euros provided by the State Health Services Organization to Armenia for the treatment of refugees displaced from Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh).

The delivery of the cargo was carried out yesterday afternoon, by air, on a flight of the Cyprus Airways airline company, which carried out the transportation free of charge. We would like to publicly express our warm thanks for this valuable support and hope that our cooperation will extend to other humanitarian actions and initiatives as well."
