The Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjártó said the increased natural gas production in Azerbaijan could play an important role in the energy security of Hungary and central Europe during his meeting with the Minister of the Economy of Azerbaijan Mikayil Jabbarov on Tuesday 24 January, Public TV of Hungary reports.
Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria and Slovakia asked the European Commission to allocate funds to create infrastructure to obtain natural gas from Azerbaijan.
