Armenia’s Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures Gnel Sanosyan received Japan's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Masanori Fukushima.
The minister welcomed the ambassador and thanked him for his visit to Vardenis on September 29 with the representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Armenia and getting to know the consequences of Azerbaijan's large-scale aggression on the spot.
“We highly appreciate your active participation not only in the visit to Vardenis, but also in general, we appreciate your active activities in Armenia and your targeted assessments,” the Minister said.
During the meeting, a number of issues of mutual interest were discussed. The Minister highlighted the need for regular air flights between the two countries, which will contribute to the development of other sectors as well.
Masanori Fukushima, in his turn, thanked the Minister for organizing a tour of the Gegharkunik province, which gave them the opportunity to get to know the consequences of Azerbaijan's aggression on the spot, which they are going to submit to their Government.
The Ambassador noted that there are good friendly relations between the two countries, but there is a lot of unused potential in the field of business and trade, which must be realized.
“For Japan, Armenia is a very important partner. Armenia is a very democratic country. The Japanese Government is ready to continue providing various types of support to Armenia. As the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary ambassador of Japan, I would like to invest all my efforts in order to further develop the relations between our two countries,” the Ambassador emphasized.
The cooperation between the regions of Armenia and the prefectures of Japan was emphasized on both sides.
