Earlier, in May, the Republic of Armenia twice expressed readiness, that is, there was even a preliminary agreement to start the session of the Joint Commission on Border Security, and the meeting was twice canceled or postponed by Azerbaijan. Touching upon the issues of delimitation and demarcation, Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said.
“A natural question arises why Azerbaijan is trying to create such an impression. My answer is unequivocal: in this way, drop by drop, they are trying to accumulate the legitimacy of a new war, against Armenia, against Artsakh. As for roads and communications, Azerbaijan is trying to give the impression that Armenia does not want to open communications in the region and implement the provisions of the trilateral statement, while the reality is the opposite, that Azerbaijan has pursued a blockade policy towards Armenia,” he said.
“We are highly interested in advancing the process. In fact, Azerbaijan is trying to resolve the issue so that Armenia continues to remain under blockade, which does not comply with the November 9 statement,” Nikol Pashinyan said.
