President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Russia and Europe should take part in the reconstruction of Ukraine. Russia because of the devastation caused, the European states because its country is “fighting for the whole of Europe.”
“Ukraine will need $600 billion to rebuild its economy and infrastructure,” Zelensky said, promising that the country would recover quickly and provide attractive conditions for foreign investors.
The President also stated that Russia must return to its positions held by February 24 and return Crimea to Ukraine.
At the same time, Zelensky did not hide that he doubts the success of the peace talks with Moscow. According to him, the dialogue with the Russian side should be continued until the Russian President makes an official statement.
During a telephone conversation with Emmanuel Macron yesterday, Vladimir Putin reaffirmed Moscow's readiness to continue the dialogue with Kyiv, despite the non-consistent approach of the Ukrainian side.
