Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Alfonso di Riso, the Italian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Armenia.
The Prime Minister congratulated di Riso on taking the position and wished luck in the further development of the Armenian-Italian friendly relationships.
Nikol Pashinyan valued the continuous progress of the political and economic cooperation between Armenia and Italy. He expressed hope that with the cooperative efforts of the governments of the two countries it will be possible to reach concrete results.
The PM especially valued the development of the bilateral economic cooperation, by implementing business forums and promoting business connections. Nikol Pashinyan warmly remembered the official visit to Italy in 2019 and valued bilateral, high-level reciprocal visits, which give a new impetus to expanding cooperation in different spheres.
Alfonso di Riso assured that during his post he will make every effort to promote the strengthening of the cooperation between the two countries. The Ambassador also emphasized the necessity of developing commercial-economic ties and added that the Italian side is interested in discussing and implementing new investment programs with Armenia.
The interlocutors considered the expanding of cooperation perspective in different fields of economy, including high technologies, tourism, construction, agriculture and stressed that there is a great potential.
The sides discusses the activation of Armenian-Italian intergovernmental commission, the possibility of a session in the future, also issues related to cooperation in health, justice and other spheres.
