Another initiative-proposal of the Azerbaijani delegation, which aimed to raise the issue of closing the Armenian nuclear power plant, failed at the session of the Committee on Energy of the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly, Arman Yeghoyan, member of the Armenian delegation, stated.
“At the session of the Energy Committee, the Azerbaijanis, according to tradition, raised the issue of Soviet nuclear power plants, in fact referring to the Armenian nuclear power plant. But, as in all previous cases, their proposals to monitor the nuclear power plants, to be more vigilant on their safety issues, even to close them, of course, failed at the Committee session,” Yeghoyan said, emphasizing that even at the Euronest PA level it was stated that there is no problem with the nuclear power plant.
