Georgia will temporarily provide Russian planes with part of its airspace to transport peacekeepers to Nagorno-Karabakh, RIA Novosti reported.
The Special Representative of the Georgian PM Zurab Abashidze said that the request was received from Baku and Yerevan. "At the request of both the Azerbaijani and Armenian sides, as an exception, a part of the Russian peacekeeping contingent will be transferred to the confrontation zone through Georgian airspace for a pre-agreed, definite and limited period of time. Our partners have been informed about this," Abashidze said.
