Experts forecast that Armen Sargsyan received a chance to be elected in one stage.
The Parliament will elect the fourth President of Armenia during the four-day session starting on February 27. The agenda has been approved in the Council session of the National Assembly. Opposition party Tsarukyan Alliance will support Armen Sargsyan, the united candidate of the Republican Party and the Armenian Revolutionary Federation. Experts forecast that Armen Sargsyan received a chance to be elected in one stage. The law defines that to be elected the candidate has to receive at least 79 votes from 105. RPA and ARF have 65 votes together. Another 31 votes belong to Tsarukyan Alliance. Only Yelk has announced of opposing the candidacy. They have 9 votes.
