Serzh Sargsyan delivered a statement at the UN session touching upon several issues among them were: the 100th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, Turkish-Armenian relations, NKR issue, etc. These are topics of vital significance for Armenia and all Armenians.
The President started his speech with bringing to focus one of the key issues for our nation and the world, which is the genocide and prevention of genocide. The unprecedented crime of massacring a nation and depriving it of their motherland is still an unhealed wound for the Armenians of the World. A non-complete condemnation of which is another factor for this kind of mass crimes up today.
From that high instance Serzh Sargsyan reminded about the destruction of the Saint Martyrs church, housing the remains of many victims of Armenian Genocide, describing it as a criminal godlessness, related to no religion.
