The opposition's victory in the Israeli parliamentary elections will be "the beginning of the end," Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said.
According to him, a victory by his opponents would lead to "the withdrawal of Israeli troops from Lebanon, Gaza and Syria, the creation of a Palestinian state and the beginning of the end of Israel."
Meanwhile, Haaretz, citing military sources, reported that Netanyahu is deliberately escalating tensions in the West Bank to distract attention from the failures that have occurred since October 7.
