Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held a phone conversation with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
Pashinyan congratulated Tokayev on the successful conduct of the Kurultai elections, noting that the convincing voting results demonstrate broad support among Kazakhstan’s citizens for the reform process pursued by the Kazakh president.
Tokayev thanked Pashinyan for the congratulations and warm wishes, emphasizing the importance of developing multifaceted cooperation between Kazakhstan and Armenia.
The two leaders also exchanged views on opportunities for cooperation in implementing regional transport projects.
Pashinyan and Tokayev agreed to continue their discussions on future occasions, particularly during the Kazakh president’s visit to Armenia scheduled for October.
