Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian during his working visit to Tehran.
Prime Minister Pashinyan once again expressed his condolences over the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, stressing that Armenia shares the grief of the Iranian people.
President Pezeshkian thanked the Armenian Prime Minister for traveling to Tehran to attend the official farewell ceremony for the late Supreme Leader. He said the Islamic Republic of Iran highly appreciates the position adopted by the Armenian government and the humanitarian assistance it extended to Iran during a difficult period.
President Pezeshkian also congratulated Prime Minister Pashinyan on his victory in Armenia’s parliamentary elections, expressing confidence that bilateral relations would continue to develop and deepen.
The two leaders also exchanged views on issues of regional importance, emphasizing the need for continued efforts to strengthen peace, stability, and regional cooperation.
