US President Donald Trump held a meeting with his national security team over the weekend; the meeting was about Washington's possible next steps towards Iran, CNN reported.
The meeting took place at the American leader's golf club in the state of Virginia. The meeting was attended, among others, by Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, CIA Director John Ratcliffe, and Special Envoy Steve Witkoff.
The US president is expected to meet with members of his national security team again this week.
The Pentagon has prepared several plans for strikes against Iran if Trump decides to resume military operations against the Islamic Republic. The list of targets includes Iranian energy and infrastructure facilities, adds CNN.
