The RA NA President Alen Simonyan participated in the ‘Francophonie Prize by the President of the National Assembly’ oratory competition organized in cooperation with the National Assembly of Armenia and the Embassy of the Republic of France to the Republic of Armenia.
The RA NA President delivered an opening speech, thanking all the participants of the programme. The Head of Parliament also emphasized the high level of involvement, especially of students from the regions.
In his speech, Alen Simonyan separately touched upon the relations between Armenia and France, noting the significant role that France has had throughout history and still has in the lives of the Armenian people. The NA President also referred to the significant support and assistance provided by France to the Republic of Armenia.
At the end of event the National Assembly Alen Simonyan and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Armenia Olivier Decottignies summarized the results of the competition, handing out certificates of participation to all participants and awarding the winners of the competition, who will receive an opportunity to take a one-week language and tourism course in Paris.
