Arab countries neighboring Iran continue to come under attacks from Iran. Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Defense has announced that early Monday morning the country’s armed forces destroyed two drones that were targeting the Shaybah oil field.
Qatar’s Ministry of Defense has also reported a missile attack early Monday morning.
Meanwhile, the Associated Press, citing a security source, reported that Iraq’s air defense shot down a drone on Monday morning as it approached the Victoria air base at Baghdad International Airport.
Bahrain has also reported 32 people injured as a result of an Iranian drone attack. According to the National Communication Center, the attacks took place on Sitra Island, near energy infrastructure facilities.
Saudi authorities have stated that Iran will suffer “great damage” if it continues to attack Arab states.
“Iran continues its aggression by presenting false pretexts that lack any factual basis,” the Kingdom’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
Riyadh noted that Iran has not fulfilled the statement by President Masoud Pezeshkian that Tehran had stopped its attacks on the Arab states of the Persian Gulf. “Iranian attacks mean ‘further escalation that will have a serious impact on relations, both now and in the future,’” the statement said.
