Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has convened a meeting of the Security Council and announced that the Iranian side must explain to Azerbaijan and apologize.
The Azerbaijani leader said that Baku “will not put up with this groundless terrorist act against the country.” He recalled that this is not the first time “Iran has carried out terrorist acts against Azerbaijan and Azerbaijanis.” Aliyev also stressed that Azerbaijan does not and will not participate in actions against Iran.
The Azerbaijani armed forces have been instructed to prepare and carry out retaliatory measures, Aliyev said.
