Many people remain concerned today about the instability in the world, around Armenia, and about what they perceive as a suspicious calm within Armenia, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at an event dedicated to Diplomat’s Day.
“I understand the concerns as well, because this is not a usual situation for us. When something is not a usual state of affairs for us, it can give rise to objective concerns about how much what we see corresponds to reality. It does correspond to reality, but we must understand that it is not guaranteed, and its continuity requires daily work, first and foremost from our diplomatic service and our diplomats. I am confident that our diplomatic service has the capacity to nurture, protect, preserve, and develop its own achievements and those of the Republic of Armenia, because one of the most important tools for preserving and protecting is development. If any achievement, any accomplishment, does not receive further development toward becoming something greater and more significant, it inevitably loses its current importance.
I am confident that we will move forward in this logic, with the awareness that in a changing world we ourselves must change the scope and scale of our mindset, be able to look at the world from a higher vantage point. To do that, we must be able to rise, and the path to rising is unequivocally and indisputably education, continuous education.
I am pleased that we can note that we are pursuing and advancing along the path of knowing more, because this means an objective, not only emotional but also practical opportunity to do more for our homeland, the Republic of Armenia. I thank all the diplomats of our country for their readiness and their daily work to do more for the Republic of Armenia,” the Prime Minister stated.
