Reuters. Russian corvette "Stoikiy" arrived in Iranian port of Bandar Abbas, Russian defence ministry said on Tuesday (February 17) and releasing video of arrival and welcoming ceremony.
Russian and Iranian navy forces "coordinated actions to ensure the safety of civilian shipping," the ministry said in a statement accompanying video.
Iran and Russia will conduct navy drills in the Sea of Oman and the northern Indian Ocean on Thursday, the Iranian semi-official Fars news agency reported, a few days after Revolutionary Guards conducted military drills in the Strait of Hormuz.
