On February 12, the inaugural meeting of the Public Council under the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs headquarters.
Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan emphasized the importance of continuous dialogue with civil society, including through the format of the newly established Public Council.
In a readout, the Ministry said that FM Mirzoyan presented Armenia’s foreign policy priorities, including the steps being undertaken to consistently advance the peace agenda, as well as the approaches and prospects for developing partnerships in various directions.
Reference was made to regional unblocking initiatives and the new opportunities their implementation could create.
Ararat Mirzoyan highlighted the active momentum both in expanding the agenda with traditional partners and in establishing and developing new strategic partnerships.
The Minister also responded to questions from participants, followed by an exchange of views.
The meeting underscored the importance of continued efforts aimed at strengthening Armenia’s resilience in democratic processes.
