The Republic of Armenia highlights the development of relations with Mexico. On January 23, the Chair of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Sargis Khandanyan said during the meeting with the delegation led by the Head of the Mexico-Armenia Friendship Group of the Chamber of Deputies of Mexico Silvia Patricia Jiménez Delgado.
Noting that there is great unrealized potential in the relations between the two countries, the Committee Chair stressed that Armenia is interested in activating economic ties with Mexico. Welcoming the creation of the Mexico-Armenia Friendship Group in the Chamber of Deputies of Mexico, Sargis Khandanyan underscored the importance of continuously strengthening inter-parliamentary ties.
Thanking Sargis Khandanyan for warm reception, Silvia Patricia Jiménez Delgado emphasized the fact of opening an Embassy of Mexico in Armenia in terms of developing relations between the two countries.
Sargis Khandanyan noted that the delegation visited Armenia at a historically important period for our country: after more than 30 years of conflict, peace has been established in the region, which opens up new prospects for the entire region.
Issues regarding the normalization of Armenia-Turkey relations, ongoing developments in Latin America, and the fight against corruption were discussed.
