Armenian Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Arsen Torosyan held a meeting with Egypt’s Ambassador Amal Afifi.
According to a readout issued by the ministry, the discussion focused on a number of issues related to the protection of labor rights and procedures for access to the Armenian labor market. The possibility of signing a memorandum of understanding between the Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Government of the Republic of Armenia on regulating labor mobility was also considered.
Arsen Torosyan also addressed the deepening of further cooperation with Egypt in the fields related to the issues of children, the elderly, and women, noting that the two countries could implement joint programs, including in the context of the deinstitutionalization of care services.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the importance of continuing joint efforts was emphasized, with the aim of expanding cooperation in the field of social protection and developing new initiatives.
